Serre Chevalier

The largest and oldest ski area in the Southern Alps, Serre Chevalier stretches from the Col de Lautaret to the listed ramparts of Briançon. A year-round motorhome destination, Serre-Chevalier is also a top choice for winter sports, with 250 km of pistes evenly divided between green, blue, red and black levels. Two motorhome parking areas are located at the foot of the slopes, and cost 12 euros per day. The campsites in Briançon and Monêtier-les-Bains also offer a range of options for motorhome travelers.


Molines-Saint-Véran

France’s highest commune, the listed village of Saint-Véran is one of the most beautiful resorts in the Southern Alps to discover on a motorhome vacation in the Queyras Natural Park. At the foot of the Château-Renard peak and its astronomical observatory, the ski area offers 34 downhill runs. It is linked to the Molines ski area and its 100 hectares of pistes. A service area on the D5 at the entrance to Saint-Véran provides parking and wastewater emptying facilities during the summer months (June 1 to October 15). Another municipal service area is located at Taoures in Molines-en-Queyras.


L’Alpe d’Huez

The cable car takes you up to an altitude of 3,200 metres to enjoy a unique panorama of the massif. In front of the departure station is a flat, paved day-night parking area where motorhomes can spend the night. Another area is located opposite the ski school, at Le Chazelet. It has a water point and toilet.


Pra Loup

Perched on their balcony above the Ubaye valley and Barcelonnette, the resorts of Pra Loup 1600 and Pra Loup 1500 offer 100 km of ski runs, plus a snowpark with boardercross, skicross and freestyle modules. At the entrance to Pra Loup 1600, motorhome owners can park in the Terrassettes parking lot. Parking is free. A fixed price of 3 euros gives access to unlimited water and a quarter-hour of electricity. The resort center is then accessible by shuttle. Other areas are located in Barcelonnette, Uvernet-Fours and Les Thuiles for discovering the Ubaye valley by motorhome.
